There are many reasons people need someone to install a new propane tank at their home or business in greater Manchester and surrounding southwest Vermont communities. Some people are adding propane appliances like water heaters, ranges, clothes dryers, boilers and furnaces to their current home. Others are building a new home, while others may be longtime propane users but are changing propane providers and need a new propane tank.
Whatever the reason, Dorr Oil and Propane can help! We offer safe and proper propane tank installation by our trained professionals. Our propane tanks are of top quality, and are built to last decades without corrosion or other damage.
Propane tanks come in a variety of sizes to suit different needs. You and a friend may both have the same size house, but need different-sized propane tanks based on your specific needs.
One of the major factors in knowing the right size propane tank for you depends on what your propane is fueling. Someone who is only using propane for cooking and water heating, for example, may not need as large a propane tank as someone who uses propane for not only those jobs, but whole-house heating as well.
We’ve put together a guide to propane tank sizes and what they’re used for—see below:
420-Pound or 100-Gallon Propane Tank: For homes with one or two propane appliances such as a range or a clothes dryer.
250-Gallon Propane Tank: For three or more propane appliances, but not for whole-house heating.
500-Gallon Propane Tank: If you use propane for whole-house heating and also use propane appliances such as a water heater.
1,000-Gallon Propane Tank (or larger): This size is more commonly used in commercial applications. But it’s also a residential propane tank for large homes with propane heating, several propane appliances, and possibly high-Btu propane equipment such as propane pool or spa heaters.
Once we install your propane tank, Dorr Oil and Propane will also provide dependable and safe propane delivery.
